Often the cause of the pain is a meniscus tear and not arthritis, so you need to make sure you get the proper diagnosis. Unless you have had an MRI, then you cannot be certain of the problem. I like to place knee problems in 3 groups, 1. Arthritis/ Degeneration- These get the best results from my treatments 2. Meniscus Tears- These sometimes get good results from therapy 3. Ligament Tears- If a full tear they need surgery and if partial they may get good results.
