Hello, my name is Dr. Stephen Stokes, I live in Cape Coral, Florida, I have a lot of important things to say; things people need to know about. I have learned many things during my 18+ years treating patients (and myself) that can save you time and money but most importantly it will probably save your health. So many things don't work as we are told they should, and so this entire project is the result of my frustrations with the "traditional medical system." I will write about this more in the future, but in summary, the system is crooked. I have always relied on studies and research to make choices on how I treat my patients but over the years I figured out the research was not objective. There is just to much corruption to trust the data. It is so sad. What this means is that we must do our own research and use common sense. This is hard to do because we are bombarded with so much flashy information everyday. Still, it is important to see through the nonsense if we are to achieve success. Yes, many of my recommendations are backed by "Science", but some are not. It will be up to you to decide how far down the rabbit hole you would like to venture. Everything I suggest is based solely on my personal experiences treating thousands of people since 2001. If it helped, I was interested. I am not a researched or a scientist, I am a clinician, which means I am primarily interested in getting results for my patients. Honestly, in many cases I don't understand exactly how it works but if it does I will likely recommend it. Many of my patients have nothing left to lose. A good example is magnet therapy. I have used them for 20 years with excellent results in relieving pain and inflammation, yet many people call me a quack for using them. Recently the FDA approved magnetic therapy for the treatment of depression and to speed up bone healing. Now the same doctors who called me a quack are attaching small electromagnetic generators to the outside of casts in order to help bone fractures heal faster. It's funny and I am no longer offended because there is just no time to get upset when you are trying to make a difference.
I am often asked about my educational background. I have an honors degree in Human Biology through St. Louis University (BS), EMT/ Paramedic Training through Percom, A Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan College (DC) and a Fellowship in Acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (FIAMA). I have acquired multiple continuing education credits at both Harvard Medical School (2014) and Stanford University (2015) and have been nationally board certified since 2001. I trained under my mentor, the former Minister of Health for Ontario, Canada, Dr. Allan Dyer, MD, the creator of Vax-D (vertebral axial decompression therapy), and the heart defibrillator 9those paddles that start your heart). Dr. Dyer taught me how to treat back and neck pain by thinking outside of the box. As a result of this training, I am one of the most experienced spinal decompression providers in the United States, having provided more than 40,000 VAX-D procedures in America. My approach to patient care is very diverse, and my toolbox has no limits. I am fearless in presenting options to people in need. Regardless of the diagnosis my underlying treatment goal remains the same, assisting the body's innate ability to heal. Remember that your body is your greatest ally in getting better. This is a mantra you should repeat every day, this is everything you need to know.
I have authored several books including, Decompress Your Pain, Plant Medicine: The 7 Steps To Innate Healing, The Philosophical Physician and The Immortal Life. These are available for free download or you can purchase hard copies at cost.
