NEW ADVANCES IN BRACING
Traditional bracing was designed to stabilize the injury and prevent movement. This is a good short term use but over extended periods immobilization will cause muscle atrophy and loss of proprioception (ability for the brain to recognize the injury). Advances in bracing have created what we refer to as "Dynamic Bracing", which helps the injury heal while increasing muscle activation and proprioception. This is a game changer in the rehabilitation world and helps many of our patients achieve optimal outcomes in their care. Please click on the brace you are interesting in learning more about and you will be directed to our orthotic information page.
